2. Our Approach to Your Data

We collect only the information we need to provide quality plumbing service, keep your account and project history accurate, and continue improving what we offer. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not collect data simply because we can.

Information you give us

• Contact details — name, phone number, email, and service address when you request a quote, book a job, or message us.
• Service details — the issue you're describing, your property type and preferred times, any photos you choose to send us (for example, by text or email), and notes about your home's plumbing or installed systems.
• Account information — when you book online or create a customer portal account, your login email and password (stored in encrypted form) and the bookings, quotes, appointments, and invoices tied to your account.
• Payment information — billing details needed to process payment. Card payments are handled securely by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor — your full card number is entered with Stripe and is never seen or stored on our servers.

Information collected automatically

• Device & usage data — basic technical information such as browser type, device, and pages visited, used to keep the site working and secure.
• Local storage — we use your browser's local and session storage to keep you signed in to the portal and to hold an in-progress booking so you don't lose it. See Cookies & Tracking.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data) and ask that you not send them to us.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to quote requests, schedule and perform service, and communicate about your job.
• Create and manage your customer portal account and keep your project history accurate.
• Send invoices, process payments, and provide warranty or follow-up support.
• Send service-related messages by phone call, text message, or email (appointment confirmations, arrival alerts, reminders, and updates).
• Improve our website, services, and customer experience.
• Protect against fraud, secure our systems, and meet our legal and licensing obligations.

We will only send you marketing messages if you have opted in or are an existing customer, and every such message includes a way to opt out.

5. Why We Are Allowed to Use It

These currently include Google Firebase (secure customer accounts and database) and Stripe (payment processing). They may use your data only to perform services for us, not for their own purposes.
• Professional advisors — accountants, insurers, or attorneys where reasonably necessary.
• Legal & safety — authorities or others when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, staff, or the public.
• Business transfers — a successor entity if our business is sold or reorganized, subject to this policy.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We keep tracking to a minimum. We use your browser's local and session storage (and similar technologies) for essential functions — keeping you signed in to the customer portal and holding an in-progress booking so you don't lose it. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your activity to ad networks. We may use limited, aggregate analytics to understand and improve how the site is used. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of delivering them. You can control or clear this storage through your browser settings, though doing so may affect how the site and customer portal work. We honor browser "Do Not Track" / Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.

8. How Long We Keep It

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here — typically while you are a customer and for a reasonable period afterward to support warranties, recurring service, and our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.

9. Your Rights & Choices

You have meaningful control over your information. Subject to applicable law, you may:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct — ask us to fix information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete — ask us to delete your personal information (see below).
• Opt out — unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
• Restrict or object — ask us to limit certain processing.
• Portability — request your information in a portable format where applicable.

We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below — we may need to verify your identity first to protect your account. If we ever decline a request, we'll explain why, and if you're a Texas resident you may appeal that decision by contacting us again; we'll let you know the outcome of your appeal.

10. Deleting Your Information

Once we verify your request, we will delete the personal information we hold about you, except where we are legally required to keep certain records — for example, completed invoices and tax records, or information we must retain to honor an active warranty or comply with our plumbing license obligations. We'll let you know if any such exception applies and delete the rest. We aim to respond to all deletion requests promptly, and within the timeframe required by applicable law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information — including encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable third-party platforms for our website and customer portal. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data protected and to respond quickly if an issue ever arises.

12. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of our website or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
